Springfield, MO Walmart Shooting: At least one man fighting in Monday afternoon shooting near Kearney and Kansas

Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred in north Springfield on Monday afternoon.

According to the Springfield Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire near Kearney Street and Kansas Expressway around 1 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The extent of his injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Investigators believe the shooting involved one suspect, though police have not yet provided a description. Officials have not announced any arrests as the investigation remains ongoing.
